Following extensive research and development, Cylindric Ltd was launched our mission to create Eco-friendly structures which can be integrated with nature drove us to source alternative materials and building techniques.
Using new and imaginative technologies, We designed and engineered a revolutionary new building solution using high-density polyethylene (HDPE) a lightweight, yet durable material requiring no formal concrete foundation to minimize environmental impact and costs.
Each pod comes with a real grass roof as standard, conferring a huge range of environmental benefits from reduced energy usage (due to natural insulation), to absorption of CO2, increased biodiversity and proven effects on human wellbeing too!
Today the company has grown and now employs a sizeable workforce in our workshops in Boughton, Nottinghamshire, designing and creating structures to ship all over the UK and mainland Europe too.

We were delighted with the attention to detail and personal service shown by Matthew Wright and his team. He didn’t even mind when we changed our minds and dropped the idea of a hot tub room in favour of another use entirely!
Installation (over the course of about a week) went smoothly and we enjoyed having the team around – I’ve never made so many cups of tea!
The finished product is more than the sum of its parts: we love it. Aftercare has been excellent with a couple of small snagging issues fixed promptly.

I had wanted to have a structure in the garden that made the most of the space available. A home office, a seating area, somewhere to eat with friends – a truly multi-purpose use.
The design process helped to consolidate all the many ideas I had, and talking it all through with Matt I began to see how I could get the best use out of the pod. I wanted to have a separate room, and liked the idea of a home cinema. His idea of hiding it away behind a secret bookcase door was amazing! Matt not only has the imagination, but also the skills to back it up and he brought the idea to life perfectly.
The finish inside was to an incredible standard – brick slips individually laid, wood panelling, built in furniture, and all with taking the curve of the pod beautifully into account. The size of the pod is nice and spacious inside, and with lamps, armchairs and soft furnishings along with the underfloor heating it feels really cosy too.
The home cinema is a triumph – surround sound and tiered seating that was designed for the full cinema experience. The dining area has seen many dinner parties and also serves as a great home office.
The pod is the adaptable, luxurious and amazing use of garden space that I always hoped it would be. The perfect investment.
